HMM....where is Po?

For Diego's birthday we bought him a small fish bowl with a gold fish, named Nemo. I specificlly found a gold fish that was orange and white because we all knew it was going to be Nemo. It lasted almost 3 weeks, and one morning we woke up to him floating belly up. I assumed 2 things 1) I should have cleaned the bowl (suppose to be done every10 days) and 2) I am out another 26 cents.
The more I thought about it I decided to get a fighting fish, they require less cleaning and last forever. Diego picked out (with mom's help) the most beautiful fighting fish. The fins were so long that they curled. The fish was blue with the tips of his tail turning red - beautiful! This is what we came home to this afternoon. At first I thought that Po (from Kung Fu Panda) was in the rocks where he likes to sleep. But there is nothing.....
There is no sign of a struggle, I assume there would be water splashed everywhere. I am of course talking about Daisy, my loving cat. I would have never thought that she was capable of such an act. Not that she is too kind - we all know that she mean and heartless. I just didn't think that she had the skills - plus she has no claws! I had witnessed her drinking Nemo's water, and even batting at the glass. Again I assumed she lacked the skills and desire of reaching her paw in the water.
There is not evidence - no splashed water and no fish...yet!
Newest fear - where is the fish? I can only assume it was Daisy - the cat spends 20 hours a day on my bed, 3 hours under my bed and the remaining hour sneaking around the house...I only hope she ate it - I do not want Diego finding his fish dead somewhere - but even more so I really do not want to find a fish in my bed - I just cleaned the sheets!

So I am thinking that you got a Beta fish..am I right? if so they have been known to jump out of their tanks. AND they can live hours without water. They have developed lungs of some sort and that is why they can live in dirty water. We did some reading on them a time back when Ron gave me one for Christmas one year I am sure you remember the Story about Blade.
Anyways other then that if he did jump out hopefully like you said the cat got him because how sad would that be if the little guy found him.
MISS YOU!!!!!!

Times like these I am so glad I'm not a mommy. I pray you don't wake up and find the Po somewhere in the house. LOL Make sure you have a response ready just in case.

poor Diego! and poor fish!
i too would be really happy to not find a dried up fish in my bed! isn't having pets wonderful?
our black cat was throwing up the other day {probably from all the curling ribbon he had eaten off our presents} that i scooped him up and held him over the toilet. john came by to see me 9 months pregnant and holding a fat cat over the toilet so i didn't have to clean anything up. he about died laughing! and yes- the cat did throw up right into the toilet- no mess made! :)

So funny. Beta's last forever. We had one, even more neglected than our dog- but eventually he was flushed away too. Someday we will learn.
That is really funny about your cat though!

Julio Carranza, who would have guessed it. I finally found you. I've been wondering how you and your family have been. It has been a while. Yup, not even your best man knew your real name, but no worries. I'm glad you are doing well. Yes, this is Evan Grover. I heard you were in Provo finishing up law school there, and I didn't know where you went from there. I was at work today, and decided to try and google you. It worked, and I saw that you moved to Shoreline, Washington. That area was in my mission! I would like to keep in touch, we have some catching up to do. My family and I, Jodi, Gracie (4), Sander (2), and Addie (1) live in Spanish Fork, UT where I work for W.W. Clyde and Company, a Heavy Civil Construction company after I graduated in construction management. Anyway, more info for another day. Check out our blog if you want. evanandjodi.blogspot.com

My email is egrover@wwclyde.net, and my phone # is 801-885-0861. Give me a call anytime. Hope to hear from you soon.

Evan

Oh, Sorry about PO, I'm sure he was a great fish. My condolences.

We have a beta, he's survived a year and some change of neglect. He's a fighter. He likes to nestle himself into rocks all the time and I think he's jumped to his death...tricky lil' devil. I hope your cat enjoyed her fish.

Okay Bridget...I love you and I know you're busy, but it's time to update your Blog. I don't care where Po is anymore - I'm afraid I'm not going to see another picture on this Blog until Jordan graduates!

Love you!
